Seasonal-Banquet Server

Responsibilities:

With the Banquet Captain/Catering Manager, provide support for all Brickyard Crossing Resort & Inn activities.

Coordinate activities with the kitchen during banquets to ensure food is served in an appealing, professional, and timely manner.

Consult with the Catering Manager, and/or Executive Chef on serving arrangements.

Observe food being served to ensure attractive presentation and that food is correctly garnished and arranged on the plates.

Ensure the catering kitchen and banquet rooms are clean and all trash removed.

Consult with banquet captain on work assignments and updated information.

Consult with clients to make sure guest check is signed and paid if needed.

Responsible for function checklist.

Ensure adequate set-up, professional presentation and client satisfaction.

Respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.

Work with client and operations personnel for the complete satisfaction of all in-house groups.

Attend all mandatory meetings as directed.

Report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.

Maintain cleanliness and a safe work area at all times.

Practice safe work habits at all times, to avoid injury to self and others.

Comply with company and departmental safety rules and regulations, including the proper handling of all relevant equipment.

Enthusiasm for and commitment to the company and the Vision, Mission and Values.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Skills, Education and/or Experience Desired:

High school graduate or GED, experience in hotel services, food services, hospitality, related field, or equivalent experience.

High integrity and strong people skills.

Innovative thinker and self-starter.

Effective communication skills and excellent customer service skills.

Hours:

Days and hours will vary. Full-time and part-time hours through event season. Must be able to work weekends and overtime when needed.
